NFL Week 15 In Review Meets Untappd Data
.gif)
We had the pleasure to enjoy football on four different days this week and enjoy some awesome beers in the process. Amidst all of the delicious brews, we saw the Buffalo Bills clinch the AFC East for the first time in a quarter-century, the Steelers lost its third game in a row and the Seahawks are heading to the playoffs again under Russell Wilson. With playoff spots still up for grabs, as well as some good beers in the fridge, let's take our final look back at Week 15!
Each week, we'll take a look at the previous week of games, and take a look at the intersection of Untappd check-ins and data and NFL teams, cities and stadiums! Whether your team wins or loses, join in on the fun! Also, check out the new comment feature to continue the dialogue and let us know what team you were rooting for and what you were drinking!
Thursday Night Recap
The Thursday night game was a wild one to say the least. It honestly felt like neither team wanted to secure the victory down the stretch. The special teams units were far from special, but Justin Herbert was excellent, and led the Chargers to their fifth victory on the season. In the Untappd realm, this was the closest Thursday night contest in terms of total check-ins we've had all season! The Chargers won by three on the field, and just 10 total check-ins!
Saturday Afternoon/Evening Recap
No one could have been happier on Saturday afternoon than Drinking Socially's Jon Dispenza and the rest of Bills Mafia. Buffalo dismantled the Denver Broncos 48-19 and Josh Allen continued his phenomenal season. Stefon Diggs had more receiving yards than Drew Lock had passing yards, and Allen completed 75 percent or more of his passes for the third time in the last four weeks. Denver logged more check-ins than Buffalo on Saturday, so at least they won there.
The second game on Saturday ended much closer than many expected after the start from Aaron Rodgers and the rest of the Green Bay offense. After being up 21-3 at halftime, Carolina put the clamps on Green Bay's offense, holding them to just a field goal in the second half. However, Teddy Bridgewater couldn't muster up enough points to tie the game late, giving Carolina its 10th loss of the season. Charlotte more than doubled Green Bay in terms of check-ins, and Bridgewater nearly doubled Rodgers' passing totals. However, Green Bay leaves victorious with a final of 24-16.
Enjoy the wins, Justin! Another win closer to the #1 seed and the critical bye!
Top City
For the second time in three weeks, the city of Chicago led the way in check-ins! The Bears have also won two of their last three. Coincidence? I think not! Well, maybe. A couple of IPAs and a red ale have been the beers of choice in Chicago over the last two or so weeks.

While Chicago takes the cake in Week 15, two other cities deserve some praise here.
- 1) Minnesota has increased its game day check-ins each of the last three weeks and because of that, they keep setting a new season high in check-ins!
- 2) Houston logged its highest number of check-ins since we started tracking back in Week 8!
Top Stadium
For the second time this year, the Mercedes-Benz Superdome led the week in check-ins! It's the second time in five weeks and while the Saints ultimately lost to the Kansas City Chiefs, Drew Brees returned to the lineup and it was an awesome game to watch. The two beers featured in the check-ins below are two of the most popular beers consumed at the stadium!

Monday Night Recap
The Untappd matchup was what I expected, with Pittsburgh beating Cincinnati by a wide margin. I expected the score to be the same as well, but Ryan Finley and the Bengals had other plans. The Bengals upset the Pittsburgh Steelers, and in the blink of an eye, the Steelers have gone from 11-0 to 11-3!
Zach Parker is drinking a Doom Pedal by Fifty West Brewing Company at Paycor Stadium

Sean N is drinking The Death of Civilization in Slow Motion I. (Ghost 907) by Adroit Theory at Untappd at Home
The Jets have won, let the Death of Civilization and the end of the Trevor Lawrence era begin!
Purchased at Tavour
Sunday's win likely ended the Trevor Lawrence era in New York. Sure, it never began, but one could argue this win was actually a monumental loss.
