NFL Week 12 In Review Meets Untappd Data
Albeit later in the week than normal, due to a COVID-19 outbreak in Baltimore, we are back with the Week 12 review! We couldn't officially move to Week 13 until Week 12 had concluded, so we had to wait for the Ravens-Steelers game on Wednesday afternoon. Alas, we break down the games from Thanksgiving, the weekend, Monday night and Wednesday afternoon, acknowledge the city with a sizable increase in Untappd check-ins from the week prior, and highlight the stadium with the most check-ins from this week.

Thanksgiving Recap
We had two games on Thanksgiving and if you are a fan of the Houston Texans or the football team in Washington, it was a nice complement to your festivities with friends and family. If you are a Lions fan, maybe you're happy about the firing of the head coach and General Manager, and if you like the Cowboys, well, you still have a chance in the NFC East!
The first game of the day featured the Houston Texans and the Detroit Lions, which ended up in Houston coming out on top with a decisive win. Deshaun Watson picked apart the defense, Detroit turned the ball over a couple of times, and the final score was comparable to the Untappd matchup as well. The city of Houston bested Detroit by about 35 percent in terms of check-ins in a 10 mile radius around each stadium.
Yes. Two wins in a row and Deshaun Watson is the quarterback of my team. I am grateful! However, the win was later shadowed with the suspensions of Will Fuller and Bradley Roby due to use of PEDs, and I have a feeling that they didn't fail for enjoying Pretty Excellent Doppelbocks.
The second and final game of the day was an NFC Least, I mean East, showdown between the Washington Football Team and the Dallas Cowboys. The Football Team blew Dallas out of the water, and destroyed them in the Untappd matchup as well. In fact, of the four cities on Thanksgiving Thursday, Washington had the most check-ins, and by a wide margin!

Of course, around MetLife Stadium (Giants and Jets) logged the most check-ins, but the other team in New York deserves some recognition this week. The Buffalo Bills, yes, Drinking Socially's Jon Dispenza's Buffalo Bills saw an increase of 13.7 percent in check-ins compared to last week! It's no surprise that some of the favorites in the area of late contain a higher ABV. Hey, you have to stay warm to really enjoy Josh Allen's magic this season.

Top Stadium
Despite a big loss to the Tennessee Titans, it was the third time this season, and first since Week 6 that the Indianapolis Colts and Lucas Oil Stadium led the way in check-ins. Interestingly enough, the other two times that they led in check-ins, they won the game, so this is the first time that the Colts happened to lose, while logging the most check-ins.
The most popular beer on Sunday was For the Shoe by Platform Beer Company, and rightfully so! How can you not get a beer that has your team's logo on it? A good beer with your favorite team's logo is a match made in heaven!

Monday Night Recap
The Eagles dropped another contest on Monday night, this time to Russell Wilson and the Seahawks. Carson Wentz continues to fluster the Philadelphia fan base, and the screams for Jalen Hurts are slowly becoming louder and louder. However, the main positives from the game were the following:
- 1) Philadelphia logged the most check-ins for a Monday night game in the past five weeks!
- 2) This check-in!

Wednesday Afternoon Recap
That was weird to type. While the Steelers ultimately prevailed and advanced to a perfect 11-0 on the season, the Baltimore Ravens, COVID-19 and all, kept it close. The final score ended up being 19-14, but Baltimore didn't stand a chance in terms of Untappd check-ins. Yesterday, there were nearly double the amount of check-ins in Pittsburgh compared to Baltimore.

Just finished watching the Steelers and Ravens. I am glad the NFL got this game played. Wednesday evening NFL was fun.
Roger enjoyed the Wednesday afternoon action, and you won't hear any complaining from me with more football action during the week. While I wish the circumstances were different, I'm glad the game was played, and hopefully the players that were out with COVID-19 are feeling better.
