NFL Week 11 In Review meets Untappd Data

If you're like me, you watched your team play this week with a beer in hand and all sorts of emotions pulsing through your body. From yelling at the defense to celebrating the touchdowns and everything in between, game day is like no other. In Week 11, we saw the second-most check-ins at the stadium in a single week, coming in just behind the total from Week 9.
Each week, we'll take a look at the previous week of games, and take a look at the intersection of Untappd check-ins and data and NFL teams, cities and stadiums! Whether your team wins or loses, join in on the fun!
Thursday Night Recap
Last time we saw Seattle and Arizona play, we were gifted with an all-time meme that Jon, Harrison and myself discussed on the virtual tailgate! Kyler Murray and the Cardinals won the first showdown, but Russell Wilson and the Seahawks got even with a 28-21 victory this past Thursday. Off the field, Seattle cruised to a victory in terms of Untappd check-ins, registering roughly 4.5 check-ins to every one check-in in Arizona.
There weren't any fans in the stands for this one, but Ben was rooting on the Seahawks with a Seattle favorite from Holy Mountain Brewing.
Top City
New York might have logged the most check-ins, again, but the state of Florida deserves a substantial shoutout here. Compared to Week 10, Miami saw 30 percent more check-ins on Sunday, and Jacksonville logged just over 28 percent more check-ins! Furthermore, the check-ins logged in Week 11 in these two cities were the highest they have been in the past four weeks! Rookie Tua Tagovailoa was benched due to poor performance, and Jacksonville's Jake Luton threw one pick for every 100 check-ins within 10 miles of the stadium on Sunday. Ryan Fitzpatrick threw a late interception to seal the loss for the Dolphins, so maybe it wasn't a great day to be a quarterback in the state of Florida.
Interestingly enough, despite warmer temperatures in the southeast, four of the five most popular beers in Miami over the last two weeks are stouts.
Top Stadium
This week, we head down to New Orleans, where the Mercedes-Benz Superdome logged the most check-ins at the stadium in Week 11. This is the first time that the Saints took the crown this season and the beers had to have tasted just a little bit better while beating their divisional foe. Without Drew Brees, Taysom Hill led the way and dismantled the Atlanta defense like many other quarterbacks have done this season.
Kevin F. is drinking a LA Lager by NOLA Brewing at Mercedes-Benz Superdome
Can't go wrong with a lager on game day!
Douglas S. is drinking a Jockamo Juicy IPA by Abita Brewing Company at Mercedes-Benz Superdome
Who Dat in the Dome! Pretty good Abita, a little hoppy for me though.
I'm not 100 percent sure, but if I had to guess, I believe that's a mask wrapped around the beer, which is fitting given the times.
Monday Night Recap
Tom Brady's late interception sealed the deal for a Rams victory on Monday night. Jared Goff's 376 passing yards in this contest surpassed the total number of check-ins within 10 miles of Raymond James Stadium, and the 275 combined receiving yards of Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp weren't far behind!
Hopefully the slight tropical flavors of this pale ale was enough to soothe the anger from Brady's two interceptions and the loss on Monday night.
Your Check-Ins
Erin L. is drinking a Bob's '47 Oktoberfest by Boulevard Brewing Co. at Untappd at Home
This is an awesome tradition! New beer, same result. Chiefs win!
Sean N. is drinking a Winter IPA by Five Boroughs Brewing Co. at Untappd at Home
Love the potential optimism here, but it just wasn't in the cards for the Jets. They are now 0-10 on the season and have some tough matchups down the stretch. Perhaps in Week 17 against New England?
WmPaul W. is drinking a More Mango (2020) by The Rare Barrel at Oak & Steel
Awaiting the Sporting KC & KC Chiefs games with this wonderful California sour beer.
Purchased at Oak & Steel
This beer sounds awesome, and the exotic fruit included is about as sweet as the play calling of head coach Andy Reid!
Jeff K. is drinking a 1906 Reserva Especial by Hijos de Rivera at Untappd at Home
Nice one. Let's go Jets. 1 and 9 here we come!
Purchased at Half Time - Mamaroneck
Almost 1-9! However, 0-10 is the result, and you're one step closer to the first overall pick!
Poker P. is drinking a DDH Double False Pattern by Modist Brewing Co. at Links Glen Neighbors
Pillowy head, soft floral nose; then, blast of dry-hopped deliciousness. More melon emerges as it warms, but it won’t last long. 🍻
Purchased at Modist Brewing Co
Football Sunday started early here, with this check-in coming on Saturday night!
Thanks for tagging me in your check-ins this week! Want to have your check-in potentially featured in next week's article? Whether you're at home, in your man/woman cave or at the stadium, tag me in your check-in and mention your favorite team! Even if you're just rooting on your favorite team, tag me in your check-in!
We'll be back next week to recap Week 12 of the NFL season, but until then, may your team win and drink safely, socially and responsibly!
