NFL Conference Championship Review Meets Untappd Data

We are down to one final game for the entire NFL season. Fans of the Packers and Bills found themselves disappointed following Sunday's outcomes, but we will be treated to the metaphorical passing of the baton matchup in the final game of the year. Tom Brady will lead the Bucs in their home stadium against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs for all the marbles. We know what happened in reality, but what about the matchups on the Untappd gridiron? Keep reading to find out.
Reality vs. Untappd
Only three cities had fewer check-ins than its average from the regular season, so overall, for playoff teams, check-ins were up! There was a lot of good football over the weekend to enjoy and from the check-ins I was tagged in, a lot of delicious beverages were consumed! Let's dive in and see how these teams fared on the field, as well as on the Untappd gridiron.
Bucs vs. Packers
Tampa Bay came out hot, but not multiple Tom Brady turnovers opened the door for Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. However, the Packers couldn't get into the end zone and make the Bucs pay for those costly turnovers. A questionable decision to kick a field goal will loom large for Packer Nation. In his first season in the NFC, Tom Brady is going back to the big game, because of course he is.
Bills vs. Chiefs
Kansas City takes care of business and will head back to the big game for a second straight season. Patrick Mahomes couldn't be slowed, and Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce are nightmares for opposing defenses. How do you stop them? It seems like you simply cannot do such a thing. Bills Mafia and the plastic tables head home, but it was a great season for Josh Allen and Co. There's nothing to hang your heads about Bills fans!
Now, that was reality. What about the Untappd bracket? Let's take a look at those matchups based on increase/decrease from check-ins compared to the regular season average.
Ravens vs. Steelers: This one was super close, but the city of Pittsburgh checked in those delicious Steel City brews to get their team and city to the finals in the Untappd realm.
Seahawks vs. Packers: Not only does Green Bay win this matchup, but they had the largest increase compared to season average of the remaining four teams in the Untappd bracket. Unlike in reality, Green Bay advances.
In reality, it's the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Bucs, but on the Untappd gridiron, it's Pittsburgh vs. Green Bay!
