On the first Thursday in August, we celebrate IPA Day. This homage to hops could quite possibly be the best day of the year! 

And unsurprisingly, now more than ever, you all are lovers of these little green cones. 

In 2021, the category "IPA - American" on the Untappd app ranked as the most checked-in style with over 7.2 million, followed closely by  "IPA – New England" with over 6.1 million. Of "The Top 10 Styles of 2021," four of the top five styles fell into the IPA category. 

And this year? 

As you can imagine, hopheads can say, 'Hip, hop, hooray" and rejoice because not much has changed. 

So far, of the five most-checked in styles, IPAs dominate, taking up the top four places! 

Hey, the numbers don't lie. 

But you probably didn't need us to throw fancy statistics at you to know that because you're already drinking an American, double, or hazy, double hazy, or session IPA right now. 

Hey, you may even be drinking a triple IPA, quad IPA, black IPA, Cold IPA, Belgian IPA, non-alcoholic, or Brut IPA(?). 

However you like your hops, just make sure on IPA Day, of all days, that you drink any kind of IPA.
