The Pilgrims, who arrived on the Mayflower in 1620, are often credited with bringing the first beer to what would later become the United States. They brewed ales using ingredients found around them, such as maize, birch sap, and even pumpkins (just like our pumpkin beers!) to create unique and flavorful concoctions.
