GOOOALLLLLLLLL! Score this new World Pint (World Cup) Badge

Responsive image

Thirty-two teams from around the world will compete in sixty-four matches during the twenty-second edition of the FIFA World Cup, taking place this year in Qatar from Nov. 20th, 2022, to Dec. 18th, 2022.

Hosted quadrennially in a different country, traditionally the World Cup is considered the most prestigious professional soccer tournament in the world (so we'd be remiss not to mention the controversy surrounding this year's event).

But the World Cup has had many brighter moments. Who can forget in 1999 when United States Women's National Team defender Brandi Chastain scored the winning penalty kick to beat China in the finals of the Women's World Cup in front of an estimated 40 million people watching? Ripping off her shirt in sheer joy, Chastain along with the entire team cemented their legacy. That one win by what would become known as the "99ers" would send reverberations throughout women's soccer, engendering popularity for women in the sport for years to come.

Or when the legendary Diego Maradona scored an iconic goal in the 1986 quarter-final victory over England at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City that has since been voted FIFA's World Cup Goal of the Century (not to mention his infamous 'The Hand of God' goal)

Or when South Africa's Siphiwe Tshabalala became the first-ever person to score a World Cup goal on African soil. A fitting start to the 2010 tournament, considering South Africa became the first African nation to ever host the tournament.

Bringing together the most talented players from all over the world, the World Cup overall though is supposed to be a chance for some seriously talented athletes to strut their stuff for their country. It's a tournament of pride, of tradition, and of camaraderie.

Hmm…kind of sounds similar to craft beer.

Consider this tournament similar to the World Beer Cup, an international beer competition celebrating the best beer from across the globe.

Really the only difference is that at the World Cup athletes mostly use their feet...

And at the World Beer Cup, brewers mostly use their hands!

Either way, if you're tuning in to watch the most beautiful game in the world, grab a beer from one of these participating countries and earn the "World Pint (2022)" badge from Nov. 20th, 2022, to Dec. 18th, 2022.

GOOOAAALLLLLLLLLLLL!

To earn this badge: From Nov. 20th, 2022, to Dec. 18th, 2022, check-in any two (2) different beers from two (2) different participating countries

Edits: This badge originally stated that it was levelable. However, the World Pint (2022) badge is not levelable.
