Big Game Review Meets Untappd Data
Just like that, the 2020 NFL season has come to an end. Congratulations to the Tampa Bay Bucs for winning the Big Game and they will look to repeat come 2021. Before we get into the article, it's been a pleasure to be here with y'all each week, watching football and seeing your check-ins. It's been a lot of fun and I'm personally already looking forward to next season! Now, here are some facts and figures from this past Sunday:
- #Chiefs appeared in more check-ins than #Bucs
- Over 1,300 check-ins featured the football emoji
It was awesome seeing the football emoji so frequently on Sunday!
The Big Game
The Bucs took home the title thanks to a stifling defense and a solid offensive performance. With a banged up offensive line, Patrick Mahomes was running for his life behind the scrimmage and he nearly made some improbable plays. Despite being in different uniforms, it was the same old story in the Big Game. Tom Brady to Rob Gronkowski and their head coach being doused in a colorful liquid to commemorate the title.
The game itself wasn't that close, but the check-ins in Kansas City and Tampa Bay were neck and neck. There were just two more check-ins in Tampa Bay compared to Kansas City (10 mile radius around the stadium)!
The Untappd Game
Pittsburgh and Green Bay squared off in the Untappd Big Game! Aaron Rodgers got his ring in real life (congrats on engagement, Aaron!), but he won't be getting one here. The city of Pittsburgh had a rockin' Sunday and the Steel City takes home the Untappd Big Game, or Great Plate if you will!
