ALES for ALS (2021)
This year, perhaps more than any other in our recent collective memory, we are anxious to bid farewell to the year, looking forward to better things in 2021 with tremendous hope.
As we close out 2020, we reflect on the incredible power of community to support and inspire. Here at Untappd, we have a special way to ring out the year while channeling the positivity of our community.
Last month we announced our support of ALES for ALS, and we are very happy to introduce a new badge to close the special 2020 collaborations ahead of the new 2021 program!
Over the past seven years, breweries from around the world have joined the Ales for ALS™ program, fighting to #EndALS by crafting great beers. Participating Ales for ALS™ brewers receive a unique hop blend, created and donated annually by Loftus Ranches and YCH Hops exclusively for brewers participating in this fundraising program. Ales for ALS™ brewers donate $1 to the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI) for each pint of the resulting Ales for ALS™ brew sold. The funds raised are immediately invested in the ALS TDI lab, where their science team continues to discover and develop potential treatments for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
