Smile Like You Mean It is a dank, juicy New England Double IPA that we intensely dry hopped with Nelson Sauvin and Galaxy. It pours a hazy gold with aromas of white wine, tropical fruit and faint pine. To add more complexity to the white wine like flavors from the Nelson hops, we added Roussanne, Gewurztraminer and Marsanne wine juice towards the end of fermentation. The result is a soft and creamy beer with moderate bitterness, medium body and crisp dry finish. Read Less

This New England IPA has that nice juicy and soft mouthfeel you've come to know and love, with tons of fruity notes from the hops. This beer was a collaboration with Hotel Roanoke and Blue Ridge PBS to commemorate the release of "The Grand Old Lady on the Hill," a documentary about the history of this iconic Roanoke landmark. The beer is a pre-prohibition style lager, brewed just as it would have been back in that time period. It's a bit stronger and sourced from local ingredients.
