Au nez : poire qui rappel les levures belges, fruité, érable, miel. En bouche : tire d’éponge grillée, caramel, érable, poire, chaleur d’alcool. couleur ambrée / blonde. J’avais de la misère à mettre le doigt sur les levures de barrique et la pilsner

Very different. The first couple of sips made me feel like I was drinking from two different glasses, one wine and one beer with a lingering after taste. As it warms and the palate adjusts, it tastes more like a blend and less like two different beverages

What to do with an 8.9% Imperial Pilsner? Age it in Pinot Noir barrels of course. Plum on the nose, a little winey. But of booze on the palate, more wine, plum. Really well done, not that expected any different from DDC!
