Moved onto new pub. Trad porter that I can't quite taste over cheese and onion crisps. Oh no!

The imperial stout I wanted was off; instead I've got this pint from the brewery where my uncle Graeme used to work

Fantastic roasty porter with a bit of liqourice and in great condition as all the beers in this fantastic establishment have been. As another review said it also has a great oilyness to it. My larynx is lubricated & I'm ready to sing Nessun dorma!

Good classic porter taste, maybe a touch fizzy from the bottle for an ale

A chocolatey, brown Porter. Very much better than what I remember of the stuff we used to drink in Firkin pubs back in the day.

A blast from the past
Open the metal lid with my teeth as usual, no matter what, this dark porter firstly tasted with a metal rusty note, a hint of roasty coffee flavour followed next, then the dark lasting bitterness showed up after. Picture of the Ramsgate harbour.
