Rich dessert stout. Notes of nutty chocolate browny. But after 4 years aging, I would have expected a bit less alcohol bite? 14% is just too high for me with this style. Too rich & too syrupy.

Matt B: No backpacking this time. Stayed at a lean-to Thursday night at the ADK lodge. Hiked from there the next morning and did Algonquin and then Iroquois. Hiked out the same day and then went to split rock falls for the rest of the weekend.

Smellin’ a bit of barrel and almond choco. Tasting a heap of dry choco nuttiness. Most prevalent is almond, don’t get much pecan or coffee really. Quite dry. 4.40

Vanilla booziness jumps right out of the bottle. A mess of nutty flavor upfront, mostly almond. Totally awesome turn in the middle, like vanilla/hazelnut International Delight coffee creamer. Not super thick, but silky. Booze heat in the close.
