A decent imperial stout, but it absolutely lacks backbone when it comes to the flavors I would expect from barrel-aged blendings. The description on the label created high expectations, but massively disappointed.

2019 vintage - cellared 3 1/2 years. Opaque black in color with a slight khaki head that lasts, finally leaving a thin rim on top of the beer. Woody, maple syrup & chocolate aromas. Dominant cognac flavors plus maple, bourbon & dark bittersweet chocolate

Had higher hopes for this with the names on the collab and the barrel types used. Understanding there was time on the bottle, getting some decent barrel- enough to discern the rum, bourbon, cognac and maple (in that order)- but hoped for more here. 3.75
