Caramel in the nose. Pale head. Dark golden color. Slightly sweet hoppy and bitter taste. Some hints of burnt sugar. Slight hints of apples. Alcohol well hidden. At the end hoppy bitterness. Too hoppy for me. RB 2013

Very old, but as an 11.2% barleywine it actually holds up. Fairly malty sweet, even has some hoppy notes as well and a little bitter on the finish. Not bad at all.

Warm: this is not for the weak of heart. A strong boozy drink. There is no extremely clear flavor but the malts blends well and compliments but doesnt overpower the booziness. For some the flavor may be bland.
