Märzen Mädness

The Märzen traditionally signified the end of the brewing season before the dawn of refrigeration (in the month of March--März in German). They were brewed with enough alcohol to survive the warm summer months, but left refreshing enough not to overwhelm the palate on a hot day. In celebration of this month’s insanity we brewed an orange-brown colored Märzen (should look like the hue of a basketball, actually) to coincide with college basketball's greatest event.
