Little Spill Pils

Our ideal German style Pilsner. We start with a grain bill of @weyermann_specialty_malts extra pale Pilsner malt. It then gets boiled vigorously with an early heavy hand addition of Hallertau Mittlefruh hops, then one big addition of Tettnanger in the whirlpool. Fermented low and slow for a week or so before we let it creep up a few degrees to optimal dry hop temperature. We then give it a dry hop of some really nice Saaz handpicked by @crosbyhops. Don’t mistake this dry hop for something typical, it’s simply a few pounds added after fermentation. The beer is then racked off the hops and lagered cold for a few weeks before finally packaging. It’s 4.3%. This is a special beer to us, driven by intense process that we’ve developed for our lagers over the years. Bright fresh bread aroma, but like smelling fresh bread while you’re standing in a field of wild grass. Drinks so soft and so easy. A finish that is oddly reminiscent of those little Hawaiian rolls, in the best way possible Show Less
