I think Willie Smith’s is using ‘Sour’ as a descriptor because they think it works better than describing proper cider apples as ‘heritage’ or ‘traditional’. Sturmer Pippin is a good apple. Dry, sharp and tannic. Might be a reboot of the Sturmtrooper.
