We love Citra. We love Ekuanot. We thought it would be nice to make a Double IPA with both Citra and Ekuanot. It is, in fact, very nice.
Our usual grist of Maris Otter, Wheat, Oats meets a charge of exclusively juicy Citra in the whirlpool. It’s then fermented on London Ale III, dry hopped over a week with big 50/50 charges of Citra and Ekuanot twice building to a healthy 22g/L, crashed and put into these beautiful cans.
A healthy nose of orange juice, passion fruit, skittles, grapefruit, resin and lychee follow suit through to the taste, with a body that’s light and silky with a low to moderate amount of carbonation and bitterness to push the juice:
