A stout in flavour with pronounced bitterness on the finish. Coffee, chocolate, slightly earthy on the nose. Much the same on the palate with a slight fruit acidity. Maybe a slight berry note. Very astringent finish. Not for me but overall well made.Earned the Photogenic Brew (Level 38) badge! Earned the I Believe in IPA! (Level 61) badge!
Really nice bitterness from both the dark malts and the haps melding together. Strong coffee, fruit, toasted flavours. Really excellent beer.

It’s nice to drink but has a more burnt roasted vibe than I expected. A slight smoky and coffee aroma, dry finish. Lacks hops 🎩Earned the Middle of the Road (Level 96) badge! Earned the For the Can (Level 52) badge! Earned the I Believe in IPA! (Level 56) badge!
This is unashamedly a black ale. It was hoppy and toasty on the nose, followed by a very roasty flavour with bitter notes. I didn’t get a very complex flavour from it in the end, not too much sweetness or fruit - but it was easy and smooth drinking.

I had this a few years ago and remembered it well. I haven't mythologised it at all. It's deep, pungent, smoky and laced with all sorts of hop drama. A big delicious, chewy motherfucker.
