I let this sit over a year in the cellar. The hazelnuts are still present in the aroma and mouthfeel. The bourbon is also present, though not as “hot” as my friends described when it was fresh. Nice balance of flavors

Nose: nutty, hazelnut, and roasty. Mouth: smooth, off-dry, roasted hazelnuts, barrel notes, chocolate-like acidity. Medium to heavy body. Finish: barrel, boozy, nutty, pleasantly dry. The rich flavor of a pastry stout without all that syrupy sweetness.
