When first released, this was all about the red wine barrel. Three years later and the original character of the unbarrelled beer is coming through again, with the wine character adding a distinct, but not overpowering, sherry note. Far better for aging

My 2019 birthday beer from Mike. Winey, dark fruits, sweet but not too sweet chocolate, smooth, warm on the way down, gentle lingering woody coffee notes. Bloody good. One of only 500 produced & sadly the only one I have.

12 days of lockdown Xmas Day 7 - Back to the Future. Huge fruity Burgundy, with chocolate notes growing as it warms to bring a nice sweetness. Thick mouthfeel, boozy wine finish but goes down far to easily.
