it is interesting how every german beer available in the US is all like ‘this beer was brewed only on the 1st of the month by eunuch monks since 1176’ so much history but would like to have a straight modern ipa from a german brewery one day

Altbier tasting continued: Enegren Valkyrie vs Uerige Stick: Uerige Stick has 10x the aroma and more intense flavor but is bitter and hoppier. Considering hops are not my forte, and this costs twice as much before pending tariffs, go local with Enegren.

Uerige Altbier tasting day 2: this is darker, richer flavor than the standard version, but much less aromatic. Drinks like a Belgian dark ale so I love it. From Duesseldorf Germany, near Belgium, so no surprise here. Would definitely order again.
