Commemorating the 200 years since Germany’s Karl von Drais invented the 'Running Machine-the precursor to the bicycle. ‘Scorcher’ is Victorian slang for a cyclist. The Scorcher was also commonly criticized for his (or her’s) less than upright seat on the bicycle, such racy behaviour! For this beer, the brewers piled North American hops (Citra and Simcoe) into the kettle to give beautiful orange, peach and a hints of pine flavour and aroma to the mix, all backed up with an infusion of fresh grapefruit zest for that extra citrus boost.
