Trinity Stout

This is an example of an Irish style called “Dry Stout”. It is a very drinkable beer; not being so strong that it quickly becomes satiating, but rich and complex enough to remain interesting pint after pint. The balance of this beer is towards the malt character, as opposed to the hop character. The nature of the malts used lend very distinctive roasted, caramel, and coffee-like notes to the beer. These are very pronounced in the aroma, but not overbearing in the taste or finish. The hop aroma is subtle and the hop bitterness is apparent only in its use as balance for the malt character.
