Our brewing team made this beer in a traditional style in honour of our Co-Founder Dave Fusek's Czech heritage. It pours a deep ruby red, with toasted brown bread and honey-like malt character complemented by spice and pepper flavours from the use of Czech Saaz hops.
The term defenestration originates from multiple incidents in history occurring in Prague. In 1419 in particular, seven town officials were thrown from the upper windows of the Town Hall into the square below. From here forward, the action of throwing someone out of a window or a swift dismissal or expulsion (as from a political party or office) became known as defenestration. Show Less
