Graham Greenall: Bought this at the brewery a couple of weeks ago at their smokefest. I am going to.make a big statement. Torrside are in my humble opinion making the best Barleywines out there in the marketplace. A couple of others come close but Torrside are number 1.

This has been standing for a while. A pepper barley wine: malt forward, fruity and boozy. Brown sugar and lingonberry preserve on the nose. Flavour is dried fruit and cherries, restrained sweetness, slightly astringent. Mildly bitter finish. Very nice!
