Lokal Pils

Lokal Pils is our core German style pilsner. It is one of the simplest beers we make, however, it is also by far one of the most time consuming to get right. After a traditional mash schedule, we boil for an extended period of time, to get just the right amount of sweetness. We also use a lot of Hallertau hops, for a slightly higher than normal bitterness. The beer then gets fermented cold with a traditional lager yeast strain, and spends a minimum of 8 weeks in the tanks. You cannot rush a well made pilsner. The beer pours almost crystal clear, with a bit a chill haze, that will dissipate as the beer warms in the glass. Lokal Pils is always unfiltered and unfined.

You will find this served from our serving tanks at Brus and in kegs for a lucky few.
