We love hefeweizen, it's a style that has been neglected for years by the craft beer industry (in our opinion). They can be exceedingly difficult to brew properly - the best brewers in Germany ferment their hefeweizens in big open top fermenters. It makes a huge difference to the beer, it dries the beer out and lets the yeast express itself like it should. To our knowledge, nobody in Denmark has ever made a commercial hefeweizen fermented in an open top tank - until now!
This beer was brewed with 50% malted wheat and the remaining malt is German pilsner and a touch of Munich malt. Using a complex German style temperature step mash. We used a somewhat overlooked hop called Meridian, which has an absolutely wonderful aroma of lemon and lime.
This beer is completely naturally carbonated. Show Less
