IPA with Motueka and apricot.

This beauty is a bit of an experiment. We wanted to see what happened if we reduced our dry-hop load and replaced it with real fruit.
We paired Motueka from Hop Revolution with 40 kg of apricot puree. You still have a huge amount of aromatics from the hops, but you also get the soft and delicate aroma of apricot, that Motueka has on it's own already. Not only that, but because of the viscous nature of apricot puree, it also made the beer itself more viscous. The mouthfeel of this beer is much closer to a double IPA rather than a 6.9% beer. Some fruited IPA's can take on a ton of sweetness and even some acid from the fruit, but this beer retains a pleasant dryness and has not increased in acid at all. It's phenomenal! Show Less
