A nice 13 year old beer for fight night. Slightly oxidized but lots of raisin and dark cherry. Lots of wood and some bourbon but no burn. Smooth. What 14.5%? Thanks, Kev!

A lot going on here. First, a 13 yr old beer that my brother Josh gifted me maybe 7 years ago and I’ve aged since. Sweet dark cherry and toffee on the nose. Palate is toasted toffee, caramel, choc, dark red fruit. Held up well for such an old beer.

For an 09, this is remarkably hanging on. 75% oak 25% bourbon is a little hard to find. Not as crazy sweet as might expect
