Nice nose with cask whiskey notes, definitely a Flanders Red vibe but too acidic and unbalanced. May be better without the addition of cherry purée.

vittorio brun: Seabass S. I would have loved to like it, but it was quite close to a sink pour: really unbalanced, having a bottle at home I hope it'll settle over time!
Seabass Speke: I hope so for your sake! Why can’t oxford be more like the Reading beer scene?!
vittorio brun: Seabass S. we all wish for that to happen 😅

NYE treat - not 100% sure what to make of this, almost balsamic vinegar vibes, deffo getting the scotch. Gonna go with 3.5 for it being complex but not sure I would seek again

Reminds me a little bit of Pannepot. There's some marmite in here but also a fair amount of sourness and acidity. The oak aging is definitely present, too.

An encouraging start to the Tap Social barrel programme. Lots of red wine and brett, with some umami poking through at the end. Reminiscent of some of Wild Beer's offerings. I would've liked more of the dark ale.

A very interesting and complex beer. Overall this feels very Flemish with a balsamic flavour from the Brett leading, but the other flavours are present as well. From what I tasted here, a straight release of the wine barrel aged dubbel would be great!

This was an outright no from me. The wine barrel aging was too dominant and despite making sure I poured carefully seemed to have a lot of sediment. Too much vinegar and not in a good way.
