Visual: Oily black with a tan head.
Aroma: Complex with notes of roasted malts, dark fruit, dark chocolate, caramel and smoky overtones from the smoked malt.
Taste: Medium body and coating the pallet with a somewhat dry finish. Roasty flavors and dark chocolate are upfront with some plum, date and fig notes. Some of these flavors might come from the 30 pounds of Black Strap Molasses added to the boil. All of these flavors are resting upon a bed of flavors from the smoked malt adding depth, more complexity and a touch or regal history. Show Less
