The term "shoobie" originated in the late 1800s, and it derived from daytrippers taking the train to the NJ shore, with their ticket price including a boxed lunch packed in a shoe box. The term gain notoriety amongst the shore residence because local businesses were deprived of the revenue they would have spent on food.
Our Shoobie is a fruit beer that combines the sweet tropical flavor of pineapple with the spicy kick of habanero peppers. The aroma is dominated by the sweet and tangy pineapple scent. Upon tasting, the pineapple flavor is immediately apparent, with a slight sweetness that is balanced by the heat of the habanero pepper.
