Sweet Olive Ale(桂花釀啤酒)

Cherish and uphold traditions!
Tea plays an important role in Taiwanese culture. As Taiwanese brewers we have always wanted to pay respect to this social tradition by creating a beer that is infused with a special ingredient used for special Asian teas – Osmanthus flowers. We really love its floral-fruity taste which always reminds us of summer apricots and peaches. As a basis we created a malt flavor-centered beer, reddish brown in colour. As hops we used Opal, a German variety that contributes sweet, spicy and slightly peppery flavors, as well as a light orange blossom aroma. We found this combination to serve as an ideal foundation to be infused with Osmanthus. We describe the resulting beer as a true symphony of flavors!

有人做桂花釀入菜，有人搭配烏龍茶，我們想讓啤酒也釀出親切而優雅的花香，特別採用台灣桂花，結合德式Opal啤酒花香料調性的苦味、柑橘果香，呈現豐富卻平衡的層次變化，享受它，彷彿回到記憶中的小院子，搖著桂花樹幹，金色小花朵如雨落，令人沐浴香氣之中。
