Flw. Surprised by how well this bottle held up, at 5 years of age. Still some nice bourbon presence, albeit mild. Much better than bottles I had as early as '19. More of a bourbon/choco/roast profile vs the fruitier/blander bottle opened in '19. 4.25+.

Sebastien Goodchild: I think this bottle may have been stored at cellar temp for most of its 4+ years. Relatively to the '19 bottle at room temp. Maybe that's a big factor in three difference.

A return to 2017 after four years. I can't trust my memory enough to make a fair comparison, but I still feel confident that it has mellowed significantly. Still strong tasting, but not harsh at all at the same time.

Chocolate, coffee and dark cherries are the predominant flavours. The carbonation has diminished somewhat over the years, but it’s still a remarkable sipper of a beer. Packs a wallop so it’s one at a time. Sadly this is my last one so savour it I shall.
