Toasty notes but more strawberry than I recall (early) bubblegum-adjacent notes fade. Monstrous yeast influences, with hints of hops on the finish. Me? New batch? (No, April !) Aging improvements? (My vote) I like it more today! Funky (cheese?) notes
John Wardale: So 2023 was good+, May 25 was “closed” (disappointing vs memory). Now back to very good. I know taste perception varies with mood/day/person/etc but I generally LIKE maturation on bigger beers, so thinking that in play here!
John Wardale: Belgian banana repeats. Odd,complex&subtle esters:kumquat&Queen Anne cherry hybrid? Strawberries & cream on well toasted (grilled?) good yellow cake. Too clocky to isolate! WOW: mace & Xmas spice in finish (how did I not notice earlier??)
