To honour CAMRA’s Mild May, brewer Tom Wallace has created a traditional ale with a salty twist. Tom has previously used
special or unusual ingredients to create his Small Batch Brews: When The Tide Goes Out, a red ale using local seaweed from the
Lizard peninsula and Rye Caramba, a rye beer featuring blackcurrants. For Salted Cara-Mild Tom has blended Maris Otter Pale,
Double Roasted Crystal, Caramalt, English Cara and Brown malts, to provide a rich biscuit platform for classic English bittering
hops Fuggles and Goldings. The late addition of caramel and Cornish sea salt strikes a perfect balance between bitter, sweet and
salt - making Salted Cara-Mild a devilishly moreish beer.
