Southridge Smokehouse Sour

Southridge Smokehouse Sour, our riff on the traditional Lichtenhainer, pours a rustic straw color with a thick white head. The aroma is subtle with a background orchard floor aroma complimented by a slight lactic tartness and smooth rounded oak smokiness. The body is light and refreshing and clocks in at 3.8% ABV. The initial sip is muted with a slight lemon-green apple flavor which quickly transitions to a sweeter wheat base before the oak smoke ties the whole sip together. The aftertaste leaves a subtle tart cider apple flavor wrapped in a warm comforting smokiness. Almost like a rustic apple pie cooked over an open fire. It doesn't make sense on paper, but in a glass the diversity just makes every piece better. Show Less
