Mandala

Mandala is a refreshing farmhouse ale that masks countless subtle complexities within a simplistic, coherent, interconnected, whole.

We brewed this saison with a base of locally grown @rabbit_hill_malthouse floor malted pilsner and a touch of spelt malt.

It was hopped in the mash with Cascade and then again in the kettle and whirlpool along with @phantasm.nz , a thiol-rich, aroma enhancing powder made from Sauvignon Blanc grape skins grown in the Marlborough region of New Zealand.

Mandala was fermented dry with a locally sourced, farmhouse saison yeast strain that produces a pleasant tartness, citrus, and earthy notes.

Embrace the universe and allow yourself to tune in the fractal sensory stimulation provided by this delightful intertwining of water, barley, spelt, hop, grape, and distinguishing yeast character.

We get notes of fresh, pink grapefruit, lightly tart lemon water ice, rustic farmhouse straw, delicate peppery spice, flowers, white grape, and gooseberry. Show Less
