Orval tribute - colour of kumquat jelly, fine white head, and the Brett-y funk is subtle, like old pear cider freshened up with orange marmalade. I love the texture - there’s a real slippery, caramel fullness but it’s still more-ish. Need more.

Last of the first batch. Funky, grapes, some toast, stone fruit. Dry with some ointment at the end and a shy bitterness. Wouldn’t mistake it for Orval but good in its own right.
