Limey Bastard Lager

Long long ago, in the days of…yore, British sailors discovered that eating citrus fruits prevented the disease known as scurvy, a rare condition that develops when the body is deficient in Vitamin C. The sailors’ fruit of choice was lime, a cheap alternative to lemons and oranges. Thus these seafarers came to be known as “limies,” a term that in the present day derogates people from the UK. We don’t want to do that; we really like Brits. In fact we like almost everyone, except… People who drink Bud Light Lime. To demonstrate how shitty that beer is we decided to do a lime lager ourselves and make it good. Meet our Limey Bastard Lager. We added lemongrass in the boil and whirlpool, dextrose to make it super dry, and then lime juice on the cold side. Show Less
