Flying Whale IPA

Our Flying Whale IPA is the second beer in our single hop IPA series and features the Simcoe hop, giving the beer a unique hop flavor and nose. This brew has a strong biscuit malt base and a medium body to compliment the strong hop taste. The Whale was continuously hopped and dry hopped (this beer is all about hops!) to bring out extra flavor in the beer and give it a crisp, clean finish.

The Name: November, 1970 in Oregon: A dead whale washes up on the shores in Florence, and authorities decide to use half a ton of dynamite to dispose of it. Instead of burning up in the explosion, huge chunks of blubber were blasted onto nearby spectators, vehicles and structures.
