Oktoberfest Brisbane is Australia’s most authentic German Festival, promoting the best of Germany, including its beer and, importantly, a healthy beer drinking culture. This invitation-only Bavarian Brewing Competition seeks to further this mission by encouraging brewers to brew authentic, traditional beers in strict accordance with the traditions of the Reinheitsgebot

Two beer styles have been nominated, Pilsner and Märzen. Eight local brewers—Brouhaha Brewery, Green Beacon Brewing, Balter Brewing Company, Black Hops Brewing, Four Hearts Brewing Company, Slipstream Brewing Company, Burleigh Brewing Co. & Newstead Brewing Co.—have had their names randomly drawn to brew one of the two styles with four brewers assigned to each style and the beers will be judged through a peoples choice vote!

Oktoberfest Brisbane are proud to announce Brewski will be participating in the Tap Takeover, during which the four beers of each style will be served together on a tasting paddle and you will get the chance to vote on your favourite! Judging will be blind, so you will not know which beer is from which brewer, you will only know if it is Pilsner or Märzen! Show Less
