Dec 18. 75cl bottle. Very similar to Saison Dupont in character, crisp, dry with a gentle saison sweetness. Not detecting much in the way of spruce unfortunately. Otherwise a really well-rounded fresh floral summery saison.

Lemon yellow, no head. Beautiful sour oak aroma. Woody, sour, sprucey, oaky.

The whiskey barrel gives this a nice sweetness. Herbal pine at the start and sweet barrel in the finish. Pretty special.

Oak and funk aroma. Tastes fruity and piney, a bit of funk and the barrel lends a pleasing woodiness and hint of whisky that stays nicely in the background rather than bullying the other flavours

What a beer for beer 500. It’s a solid five. Lovely saison character with subtle spruce and a richness from the Fettercain barrels. This delivers on every level
