Sierra's 2019 Oktoberfest rendition is interesting, but ultimately a miss for me. The good first. Pours crystal clear copper with a frothy white head. Caramel and toast nose.

Peter Hauschild: The flavor lacks the deep maltiness that I enjoy from a Marzen. There are toast notes and caramel, but not too the extent I'd like.
Peter Hauschild: It's balanced, but the hops fly under the radar here, with none of the spiciness I love from the Mittelfruh or other German varietals.
Peter Hauschild: Just underwhelming.
