Bourbon Barrel Aged Rye Imperial Stout with Toasted and Raw Coconut and Vanilla Beans.
DM falls somewhere between Derivation and Medianoche - an Imperial Stout that we had the pleasure of brewing with our friends at Weldwerks more than 2 years ago. We brewed this Rye Imperial Stout with a higher hopping rate for the rye and hops to play together, to offer a snappy backbone to the aging and decadent adjuncts we had planned on infusing this massive stout with. After aging for 28 months to 24 months in Weller 12yr and Rittenhouse Rye barrels, we blended to taste and infused the beer 4 times with raw and toasted coconut and then finished it with Mexican Vanilla Beans.
