Better than I expected but not as good as it could be. The barrelling does dominate a bit. As a label-less strong drink it works fine, but as a Belgian Quad (not an expert, I admit) I’m not entirely convinced. But cask… ! @winterwarmerwander #8

Burnt caramelised sugar, christmas cake style fruits and a boozy warming hit. Almost treacle like in the finish with a subtle saltiness.

Super smooth, quite sweet and syrupy with lots of sticky dried fruit upfront alongside caramelised wood sugars, shifts to slightly salty toffee, finish is charred oak, a touch of vanilla and spirit alcohol, not as boozy as I expected.
