The Hexagon Project #14 - It Goes to 11 Black TIPA

Black IPA is a style that proves to be divisive. Traditionally this style is encapsulated by the hop-forward balance, and flavour characteristics of an American IPA, only darker in colour.

The dark malt base is supposed to give a gentle and supportive character rather than the robust and powerful roasted or burnt flavours.
Our love affair with black IPAs began early in 2019 with the award-winning 'Answer Is None'. We make a yearly effort to revisit the style and explore and refine it.

Aromas of pine, mango, mint and herbal notes are followed by undertones of liquorice and lightly roasted character.

As the beer opens up, Stone Fruit aromas are at the forefront from the dry-hop of Simcoe, Centennial, Columbus, Citra and Mosaic Show Less
