Interesting beer, stout is the main taste, but it opens with a hop burst which fades but lingers over the maltyness.

Back in The Armoury for the only ‘Black Label’ Salopian I could find in Shrewsbury this evening. Bitter, grassy/piney with a distinctive Sorachi Ace finish. (Keg: 1/2 pint)

Jan 21. 500ml bottle. Lovely aroma that sees the sorachi and sabro shine nicely without appearing too dominant or coconutty, some ashy pine. Body is perhaps thinner than expected, but some admirable roast accompanies the hoppy sorachi.
